The Blank Slate

Our lovely rain garden is a blank slate for us all to beautify.
There is a lot of area to work on and no experience is needed. You will learn as you go.

The Fish Got Away

Sorry - I lost the fish tank. Will get it up asap. There apparently was trouble in Bloggerville.

Beginnings

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is so fortunate to have a lovely and sizable rain garden on the east side of the church building. It was decided to make it even more beautiful by adding mosaic artwork to certain areas around the garden.

We've got a great studio just behind the Caterpillar Room and it's all set up and ready to go.
You may have seen some of the pattern taped up on the wall in the Caterpillar Room.

This one is for the larger area inside the concrete receptacle  that collects the water.

There will be water portrayed on the inside of the vertical sides.

We'll add other water life to the basic water pattern.

Maybe a turtle, fish or .... a mermaid?!!!

Or even a starfish.

Anyone can come and work on this during the winter.
We'll make our fish etc and then incorporated each one into the water patterns. When warmer weather arrives, these pieces can be applied to the concrete.
More info about times to work on this is forthcoming.

P.S. Feed the fish at the top by clicking in the blue area.
